About us
Training from the field, not from the textbook
Rosa Lëtzebuerg asbl is the training service of an organisation that has worked with queer people in Luxembourg for years. What we pass on in our courses is not second hand: these are the questions that reach us daily at the advice desk, in support work and in advocacy.
Why we offer training
Most people we meet want to do it well. A nurse who does not know which first name to write in the file. A teacher supporting a class in which a child comes out. An HR department that needs a rule and does not know where to start. It is rarely goodwill that is missing, it is confidence in handling the situation.
That is exactly where our courses start. We work with concrete situations rather than models, we answer the questions actually asked in the room, and we leave room for uncertainty. Nobody leaves us feeling embarrassed.
Who teaches with us
Our trainers come from counselling, social work, education and the community itself. They do not teach about a lived reality, they speak from working with it, often also from their own. Professional qualification and field experience are not opposites here, they go together.
